The key to the success of Patrick's activity is his multicultural orientation. Raised in both French and German culture, he learns from a young age how to switch seamlessly from one to the other. He later adds a third dimension with English, the common working language used in international and humanitarian settings, where he starts working in 1994.

For a decade, Patrick works closely with individuals from a broad range of social, economic and cultural backgrounds. Field missions are taking him to the heart of extreme contexts, aiming at bringing relief to vulnerable populations in war and emergency situations. Later, he leads human resource recruitment at headquarters level, in Geneva, seeking to build effective, cohesive, culturally diverse field teams. With regards to English language, he observes that it is in fact plural, with variations between the United Kingdom and North America, as well as an international practice for non-Anglophones.

In January 2005, Patrick launches his career as a translator. His background in sciences (French Baccalauréat in maths, physics & chemistry) and experience working with an international humanitarian organization (successively working as logistician, administrator and human resource specialist), enables him to excel with translations in these specific fields. Further research and studies in economics and philosophy have broadened his skill set and range of services. Holding a Master's degree in Foreign Language and Culture, specializing in Philosophy and Language, Patrick consistently delivers high-quality translations, to his clients’ satisfaction.

Drawing on this wealth of experience, Patrick’s work combines both speed and quality, enabling him to meet tight deadlines. His service-oriented approach includes meticulous attention to detail, such as checking hyperlinks and searching the Internet for references (books, guidelines, articles) in the appropriate language. He is proficient in using Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to assist clients in building terminology databases.

Since February 2019, Patrick is a sworn translator accredited by the Court of Appeal of Chambéry, serving as a judiciary expert for English-French translations.

In addition to his activities as a translator, revisor and editor, Patrick works regularly with business schools, teaching English and evaluating students from undergraduate to post-graduate levels.
